I'v...Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I've resolved similar issues on smaller scales in the manner in which you describe. This case though, the thing is that there are so many raised, and if you push down on the Z for instance (in the middle), they all drop down together and will rest in the correct place when the Z type bar reaches the rest. As you do this, the stresses imparted on the machine move things - and the thing that led me to disassemble the segment, was that the bottom of the segment will flex outward toward the keyboard. I feared that the cast cross member(s) might be cracked. All I can say is that slight difference...Yikes ....
