  2. "anything pink" made me glad I wasn't drinking water! Very amusing and accurate.

  3. Well said Brian. I'd much rather have a "rescue" machine than a pristine typewriter at a premium - but I'm a weirdo.

  5. I recently wrote a typecast that I will post soon at http://wrongwaywriteway.com regarding the concept of value, especially when it comes to typewriters. I collected guitars for years, and I now run into the same issues with typers, especially in regard to dealing with the psychology of shipping rates. I live in among penny-pinching demographic (Erie PA), so it's slim pickin's here when it comes to typewriters. For me (at the moment), I'm willing to take it on the chin in regards to the added expense of shipping, if I really want a typewriter from Ebay. My downfall is when I'm on my fourth beer and the auction ends in 5 minutes. I really try to avoid that scenario. If I fail though, I always console myself in the knowledge that, hey! I've got a new typewriter on it's way!!

Thanks for the entertaining post. ~TH~
